DIVING
The Maremma sea has always been one of the most fascinating element of the region, both for its natural beauties and the Parco Nazionale dell'Arcipelago Toscano ( National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago), the greatest sea park in Europe founded in 1996.
Its waves lap with crystal clear water against a multiform coast where undulating dunes change to small, at times inaccessible coves while on the horizon the waning sun offers magnificent sunsets. Its sea floor offers a scenery of natural beauty that cannot be appreciated enough by those who love and respect the sea and it is precisely such scenery which has spurred professional operators to offer to all those who feel interested the possibility of admiring it.
With the backing of divers from different diving centres the tourist, even the less skilled, fascinated by the underwater world will have the chance of delighting in these sights of the Mediterranean ecosystem through "underwater excursions" both scuba and snorkelling: fields of billowing Neptune grass, morays, mullets, octopus as well as gilthead bream and groupers. It will be possible to admire the natural beauty of the yellow and red sea fans and be charmed by the seahorse, the presence of which is a sign of good quality of the water.
