| Description

Church and Convent of San Giuseppe.
The convent complex was founded by San Paolo della Croce for the novices. The small church has three late Baroque altars in imitation marbel painted on plaster and crowned by sinuous tympanum decorated in stucco with the dove of the Holy Spirit and the Cross. Worthy of mention is the painting depicting the investiture of the novice Vincenzo Maria Strambi by San Paolo della Croce. With the exception of an 18th century gilded and carved wooden reliquary containing a fragment San Paolo della Croce’s hairshirt and the embroidery of the heart with the Cross (the emblem of the Brotherhood of the Passionists), the rest of the décor is not especially interesting.
